About Candidate

Robyn acquired her B. Sports Science undergraduate degree at the University of Pretoria in 2017. Her growing passion for rehabilitation and treatment, through exercise, inspired her to complete her Honours in Biokinetics at the University of the Witwatersrand, in 2018. During her studies, Robyn completed a certification in introductory level aquatic rehabilitation, group fitness instruction and exercise science. In 2019 Robyn completed a one year internship at a private practice in Johannesburg, South Africa. In 2020, Robyn moved to the United Kingdom, where she has joined the Maskell Biokinetics team.

An avid runner, dancer, hockey player and swimmer; Robyn has always possessed a passion for physical activity, performance enhancement and orthopaedic rehabilitation. During her time in practice she developed a budding interest in chronic, respiratory and neurological conditions. She gained great experience in these areas; including the treatment of complex conditions such as: Dermatomyositis, Guillain-barrè, ALG13 CDG, stroke, Fibromyalgia and Cystic Fibrosis. Robyn continues to develop her understanding of chronic, neurological and respiratory conditions and their treatment; aspiring to improve her patients’ independence and quality of life through disease management.

Robyn is registered under the Health Professionals Council of South Africa (HPCSA) and is a member of the Biokinetics Association of South Africa (BASA).
