Summary of the Role
We’re looking for a passionate and experienced chiropractor to join our Senior Management Team and lead on all aspects of clinical education and service delivery at the Scotland College of Chiropractic.
You’ll work alongside the Principal, Director of Business Development, and Director of Quality Assurance to ensure the smooth running of the College, with a particular focus on clinical excellence within our MChiro degree and the new Chiropractic Clinic (opening in 2026).
Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Management
Provide strategic and operational leadership for clinical modules and the College’s Chiropractic Clinic.
Line manage clinical staff: module leaders, clinical supervisors, and clinic office staff.
Chair and contribute to College committees including Clinical Programmes, Programme Committee, Ethics Committee, and more.
Teaching & Quality Assurance
Teach and assess students on clinical modules.
Lead on quality assurance for clinical placements and the Chiropractic Clinic.
Monitor student performance, manage action plans and address any professional conduct concerns.
Clinical Placements & Patient Care
Oversee placement providers, prepare students, and ensure high standards of patient care.
Manage intern scheduling, leave, absence, and disciplinary matters.
Handle patient feedback, complaints, and health and safety issues.
Documentation & Governance
Update clinical handbooks, policies, and documentation annually.
Ensure compliance with procedures across clinical teaching and practice.
Stakeholder Engagement & Growth
Develop the College’s relationships with donors, stakeholders, and placement providers.
Support internal research projects.
Collaborate on a marketing plan for the new Chiropractic Clinic.
Person Specification
Essential Qualifications
Chiropractic degree
Registered with the UK General Chiropractic Council (GCC)
Desirable Qualifications
Postgraduate qualification (Master’s or Doctorate)
Essential Experience
Currently in active clinical practice
Minimum of 5 years recent experience in a successful chiropractic clinic
Strong written communication: reports, policies, handbooks, etc.
Desirable Experience
Experience in higher education teaching and assessment
Senior leadership experience in a complex setting
Change management and innovation in healthcare/education
Committee chairing experience

Proven leadership skills and ability to build strong working relationships

Excellent communication and IT literacy
