INTERACTIVE ONLINE COURSE

This interactive, live online course will provide you with the skills and information to make the most clinically appropriate and cost effective use of diagnostic imaging when referring your patient and improve your image interpretation skills and understanding of the radiology report. MRI, Ultrasound and X-ray imaging are used to provide additional information which may reinforce or change patient management.

Especially suitable for Advanced Practice Physiotherapists and First Contact Practitioners, included are topics on safe and appropriate referring, imaging management of MSK conditions, normal cross sectional imaging anatomy and pathology, image reporting and acting on the imaging results.

Specifically targeted Learning Outcomes will assist in:

Requesting of suitable imaging for the patient facilitating access to the appropriate speciality.

Turning a working diagnosis into a more definitive diagnosis.

Treatment being earlier and more appropriate.

Best use of available funding.

Swift decision making reassuring the patient.

The course will be conducted using Zoom Meetings. In addition, supplementary course content will be provided using our website member’s portal. Course access will require a PC/Mac or tablet (iPad or Android). Integral webcam and microphone is preferable although mobile dial in audio is supported (please contact us with any queries)
